October 2018

October already! I'm starting to catch up now!

Pete's mum visited the first week of October. We picked her up from Sofia airport and took the opportunity to go to Ikea and buy a sofa... ooo! She also bought a whole suitcase of books with her, so later on in the month Pete built a bookshelf for the living room wall.

Not many photos of work around the house... not to say we weren't busy. There was more work on the central heating, including building a chimney and running pipes in the attic to a header tank. Some strong man friends came over to help Pete and we finally got the woodburner inside - woohoo! Now we could actually finish the system, which was good as it was starting to get chilly already - earlier than usual. We also got on with other bits and pieces, including finishing the lights and electrics in the living room.

The autumn colours were stunning, so there are several photos from walks around the village too!
